Best Hot Spots For Bumping Into Your Future Badoo Date

October 19, 2017

London has a population of over 8.7 million people, which to get your head round it is over ninety Wembley Stadiums full. Too much math? Let’s get to something simpler, dating. Oh wait.

For some reason dating in London could possibly be one of the hardest cities to meet someone, that was until now. With 60 million monthly active users, Badoo is the largest dating app in the world and one of the cool features of the app is that it enables you to ‘bump into’ someone. Do you ever get the same train every morning and quite fancy that guy in the carriage, yet you’d never pluck up the courage to talk to him? Do you sit in Starbucks all day pondering the meaning of life? Or maybe you walk the same way to the gym each day. Well now you can use those opportunities to find someone who does just that. The app shows you where and when you passed by a person in close proximity to you, as well as find someone who has similar interests and maybe even friends in common.

Badoo

Being a London lifestyle blogger I get the opportunity to attend many fun events and places each month and so I often get asked where the best place to try to meet someone is. Therefore, I’ve put together my picks of the current hot spots in London. So, if you fancy increasing your chances on the app, grab some friends and head to one of these.

Sky Garden

One of my personal favourite places in London is Sky Garden. Located at the top of 20 Fenchurch Street and London’s highest public garden, it’s free to visit and you can spend plenty time here drinking, eating and strolling around the gardens, whilst also taking in the view on the viewing platform. It’s always busy and full of all different types of people from Londoners to tourists, so who knows who you could end up sharing the view with.

Natural History Museum Ice Rink

It’s likely you might physically bump into someone here whilst ice-skating, but the likelihood probably involves the sequel to Bambi on ice. Ice-skating is one of the most popular things to do this winter in London and one of the favourites is the outdoor rink at the Natural History Museum. It is the perfect place to meet your future date and join them for a champagne or hot chocolate and maybe skate around the Christmas tree.

Design Museum

The Design Museum has set up a new home in High Street Kensington and it’s become the perfect place to have a chilled-out afternoon. Look through the free exhibits or book yourself a ticket to one of the resident featured exhibitions. There is a café, restaurant and a cool spot to perch and just admire the design of the building, think the Highline but indoors. If you love art and culture, why not find someone who does too?

London Markets

London markets are a fun day out and are always a random mixture of food and shopping and more often than less, no idea what you’re going to come across. So why not take the chance with who you might bump into also. The most popular markets are most likely Portobello Market in Notting Hill – where if all else fails you can get those all-important pictures next to the coloured houses at one of the best places to Instagram in London. Then you have Borough Market which is perfect for those looking for a fellow foodie lover.

Ballie Ballerson

Ballie Ballerson

Bring out your inner 10-year-old and head to Ballie Ballerson, a glowing UV ball pit on Curtain Road in Shoreditch. This place is the ultimate adult playground where you can just have fun and let go of your inhibitions. Plus of course take plenty of pictures, perfect for your Badoo profile. After playing in the ball pit, head to the bar for some Dutch courage with one of their amazing cocktails, I recommend the Neptune, whilst you scope out a potential playmate.
