I was standing outside Peggy Porschen in Belgravia and I suddenly realised I was surrounded by the paparazzi. That was of course a paparazzi of Instagrammers. If you saw my Instagram story that day, you will have seen the chaos that surrounded the cake shop. Yep, that’s right they were all clambering over themselves to get the shot in front of the picture perfect pink walls and cupcakes. Now I am not mocking this in the slightest, I have been known to do whatever it takes to try to get that shot sometimes, but it got me thinking how Peggy Porschen has become such a desirable London location and of some of the other Instagram worthy places in London.
So whether you are visiting the City or you live here and looking for some inspiration, here are the hot spots across London that you need for your Instagram feed and if you want to tweak your pics for that ultimate filter, here are my top Instagram editing apps.
Peggy Porschen
As I mentioned above Peggy Porschen’s cake shop in Belgravia has easily become an Instagram favourite. With it’s pretty pink walls, beautiful blooms and adorable cupcakes it’s pretty easy to understand why. I recommend visiting during the week if you can as it gets very busy at weekends and if you are after that perfect picture, indeed do be patient.

Sketch
Sketch is another pink hotspot. Sketch Afternoon Tea is hosted in the Gallery Room, a room filled with plush pink booth seats and walls adorned with art, but pay close attention to the art, it’s really not your usual and actually rather rude. Whether you came here for the pink interior or the afternoon tea image, one thing you can’t leave without is a sneaky snap in the loos, it sounds odd but seriously these alien-esque pods are all over Instagram. Sketch also does displays in the hallways such as its recent collaboration for Chelsea Flower Show which was definitely Instagram worthy.

Cafe Miami
If pastel hues are your thing on Instagram, then Cafe Miami could be a great addition to your feed. The Cafe based in Hackney has a Miami theme and everything is pretty in pastel. Their selection of breakfast and all day treats will sure to score you those likes. Tempt your followers with Nutella pancakes topped with banana or what about sweetcorn waffles with chilli jam.

Milk Train
Head to Milk Train in Covent Garden if you want to try their floating ice-cream on a cloud of candy floss. Choose your ice-cream, toppings and have it wrapped in candy floss, what more could you need for that picture perfect shot? #FoodPorn at it’s best. Now I’ll just sit here and watch as you try to resist that ice-cream whilst taking a picture!

God’s Own Junkyard
Surround yourself by lights in this neon paradise. God’s Own Junkyard is where you will find the late Chris Bracey’s artwork. It’s a playground of neon and no doubt you won’t be able to decide what to Instagram first. They are happy for you to take pictures as long as you credit and you can enjoy a scone or two in the Rolling Scones Cafe. If you can’t make it out to Walthamstow there is also some of his artwork in Lights of Soho.

Palm Vaults
I discovered Palm Vaults though Instagram. The drinks are pink, yellow and green and look great for a photo. The interior is botanical with a touch of pink and is the perfect place to escape and chill out, oh and take a picture or two or three. A little like Cafe Miami, but this one definitely has an L.A vibe.

Spring Restaurant
Spring is a little like Sketch with its pink chairs and interior, but it seems to be the bathrooms that have caught peoples attention on Instagram. With marble sinks and elaborate mirrors, this seems to be the bathroom of choice for those selfies in London. Of course you have Somerset House on your doorstep for more photograph opportunities.

Farm Girl
Don’t worry you won’t have to put on your wellies and get covered in mud for this one. Farm Girl is the Instagram hotspot for brunch in Notting Hill. With healthy inspired food, perfect flat lay tables and cute pink bulldog coffees it’s no wonder everyone is heading here. Afterwards walk around Notting Hill and capture more of the cute coloured houses for your feed.

Bob Bob Ricard
Have you seen the press for champagne button across Instagram and wondered where it was? Well wonder no more. The button in question is located at Bob Bob Ricard in Soho and enables you to request champagne from the waiters with the touch of a button. A great Instagram moment and also order the Chocolate Glory dessert too, the chocolate bomb dessert melts open as the hot chocolate is poured on it. Yep, get your Boomerang.

Churchill Arms
You really can’t miss Churchill Arms. This pub is covered in stunning flowers and is even more spectacular at Christmas time. The picture opportunities don’t stop there, inside is filled with Winston Churchill memorabilia. This pub has a history dating back to 1750 and is one sure to impress your followers.
