I’m pretty fussy when it comes to skincare products, I know my skin type pretty well now and what works for me (check out my guide to products for dehydrated skin here). So when I find a brand that works for me, I’m hooked. As soon as I had a facial with Image Skincare, I loved the products straight away and the results they gave. My favourite products from the brand include the Vital C Hydrating Facial Cleanser, Ormedic Lip Balm and the Ageless Hyaluronic Filler, which I’m actually just about to run out of and when I run out of a skincare product, I know it’s good. I’m lucky to finish a product most of the time, just as I do get to try a lot of products, so when it’s finished it says a lot for me.
I recently tried the Balancing Eye Lift Gel from their Ormedic range. I’ve tried so many eye creams lately and when I used this one I knew it was the one. The Ormedic range uses organic ingredients, antioxidants and essential botanicals without the use of chemicals, acids or parabens to balance the skins health. I like the idea of a product like this for my eye area, as I have quite sensitive eyes and I find a lot of anti-wrinkle eye creams a bit too drying and harsh on my eye area. I also suffer from eczema on my eyelids so I have to be quite careful with what I use.
The balancing eye lift gel is exactly that a gel. It isn’t clear but has more of a cream like appearance, but definitely feels more like a gel on application. I applied a small amount to my ring finger and dabbed it round the under eye area. Instantly my eye area felt de-puffed with the cooling feel of the gel. It also felt hydrated straight away. I find that with a lot of eye creams they can dry in and the eye area is left feeling like not much really happened. With the balancing eye gel it feels hydrated longer, but not weighed down in the slightest by a thick heavy cream. The gel is very light and seems to work very well when applying make-up over the top.
It’s hard to tell if it really ‘lifts’ my eye area, but it definitely feels hydrated and plump and I feel like my fine lines around my eyes look reduced. The eye area is softer and as we are in winter I’ve struggled previously stopping my eyes from having eczema breakouts and dry skin, but this seems to keep that at bay, which I couldn’t be happier about.
Another winner for me from Image Skincare, I can’t wait to try more of their products!
