Image Signature Lift Facial Review

September 5, 2017

I recently tried out the Signature Lift facial by Image Skincare at Privet Body in Notting Hill. One of the best facials I’ve ever had before was at Privet Body a few years ago now and was what introduced me to one of my favourite skincare brands Murad. So I was very excited to try out this facial and also discover a new skincare brand.

I had never actually heard of Image Skincare until now. They are an American based brand and are very results driven, using the highest quality pure and environmentally sound ingredients and medical formulas. They have many different ranges for skin types, so whether you have dry skin or an acne prone skin or just want to brighten your skin, there is a range to suit.

Privet Body is one of the loveliest salons I have been to. Inside it has a garden theme with different treatments rooms such as ‘The Potting Shed’ and ‘The Orangery’. My facial was with Michelle, who is absolutely lovely, one of the nicest ladies and we first started out talking through my skin concerns and what my current skincare routine is. It’s always quite hard to talk about my routine as I do chop and change products a lot due to the nature of my job, but I really am going to try to stick to a routine as it really helps my skin stay in good condition. If you don’t know already my skin is a little dehydrated so Michelle decided to use a lot of the Image Vital C range throughout the facial which is good for dry/dehydrated skin. The Signature Lift facial is tailored to your skin needs, so if you don’t have dehydrated skin like me, no problem, it will be matched to your skin concerns. They do also do an oxygen based facial, which sounds pretty amazing.

The facial started with a double cleanse, first to remove make-up, then the second cleanse to treat the skin and remove any oil, pollution and dead skin cells from the day. Michelle then looked at my skin under the magnifying lamp to take a closer look at my skin needs. Next up my skin was prepped for the peel part of the facial.

The first part of the peel process was applied, which was 30% blend of enzymes, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid, all the things my skin is calling out for. The enzymes get rid of dead skin cells so the skin will absorb the products better. The peel was massaged into the skin, this is where you might find it a little tingly, for me it was fine, but if you are sensitive to this you may find it quite tingly and a little warm. Next it is layered with the resurfacing mask which has 10% glycolic acid and menthol. This one smelt minty and this is where I started to feel the tingle happen. Then the last layer of the peel is applied.

Michelle then applied the Image Vital C Hydrating Enzyme Mask, I have tried this at home also and it is a great way to hydrate and exfoliate the skin. The Vital C range has a scent like oranges, it smells so amazing. Whilst that was left on Michelle massaged my neck and décolletage which was lovely and relaxing.

Everything was removed and I also had a few extractions. This is optional but I do love to have them done, as it makes the skin even clearer. This is really not a fun part, as it can hurt – alot! But really do it as your skin will benefit so much.

As an extra I also tried out the Dessé LED light, a little like the Neo Elegance face light I tried before. This had the same mask style and I had a combination of the three colours of light. Doctors also use this light to heal skin ten times quicker than it normally can. I really think the light benefited my skin.

To complete the facial Michelle applied a few finishing Image products, the Vital C serum which has botox like peptides to relax muscles from facial expression, Hyaluronic Filler which has 18% hyaluronic acid and Stem Cell Cream, which supports collagen, regeneration , smooths wrinkles and hydrates skin. The perfect way to treat the skin at the end of the facial.

My skin when I left was glowing, absolutely beaming. It looked amazing, plumped, refreshed and soft to touch and stayed this way for quite a few days afterwards.

I have also been following up since the facial with some of the Image products and I am so impressed by them that they will definitely be part of my routine now, especially the hyaluronic filler.

If you are looking for a facial in London, I can’t recommend this enough.

The Image Signature Lift Facial is £109.95 and available at Privet Body. For more info on Image skincare visit www.imageskincare.co.uk.
