I’m always excited to see the Guerlain seasonal collections. The Guerlain fall collection was one of my favourites last year and for Spring, well who wouldn’t swoon over a love heart-shaped lipstick?
I thought it was only fair to introduce you to the new collection now as the lipstick has such a perfect love theme and the collection itself is in beautiful pink casing, with the illuminator palette also being decorated in hearts, so I think it could be the perfect Valentine’s Day gift.

KISS KISS Love Heart Lipstick £28
This Guerlain lipstick comes in six shades for Spring, I tried the shade here which is 572 Red and it was a nice vibrant red but without being too in your face, I’d say it’s quite an everyday red actually. It has a shine to it, so it’s not matte and is comfortable on the lips to wear. Of course you can’t help but adore the love heart-shaped bullet, which made it difficult for me to even first use it as I didn’t want to ruin it, but I caved and had to try it. The lipstick is in a pastel pink case which has a sort of pearlised sheen to it. Being a funny shape it took a bit of getting used to applying it, but it’s easy enough once you get the hang of it and of course the love heart shape will ultimately change as you keep using it.

Météorites Illuminator Palette £42
In a very pretty pink and silver compact, with a love heart on the front made up by smaller love hearts, this powder compact would look perfect in any make-up bag. It also comes in a velvet sleeve to keep it protected. Inside is three shades of powder, which are for highlighting the face. You have a pinker shade for blush and the other two shades for cheekbones or across the t-zone. I liked to use the blush shade and then apply the other shade over it to illuminate the cheekbones more. I wouldn’t say this is a palette for the hardcore highlighter fans, but if you like a subtle glow or want to enhance your features without blinding everyone who walks past, then this is ideal. I really liked this for using down my nose area, as some highlighters are just to sweaty or glittery looking for that area and this powder makes it look lovely and natural.

Météorites CC GLOW Correctors £30 each
I have never really been that into colour correction (if you’re not sure on what each colour does, check out my post on how to colour correct), I guess as I’ve always had a palette and it just seemed a bit much extra effort to be honest. However I love these colour corrector pens from Guerlain. They are so easy to use and work into my usual make-up routine, that I have been using them lots this week. There are three colours in this range, pink helps to brighten and make areas glow, green is to help erase redness and apricot helps to minimise dark circles under the eyes and also corners of the lips. I have been using the pink and orange one to help get a glow and a less tired and dull look on my face and it’s worked great. I apply before my foundation and have definitely noticed a difference. The pens make it so easy to colour correct and a lot less messy than a palette like I’ve had previous. A great new addition to my make-up bag for Spring.
