It’s Shoes Day Tuesday! What’s that? Well to me it was a very special day indeed. A few weeks ago I entered Upper Street Shoes #ShoesDayTuesday competition on Twitter and I won!
Upper Street London are a bespoke shoe designing online fashion site which lets you get creative and design your perfect shoes and also get that perfect fit. To win a pair of my own shoes all I had to do was Tweet them with a pair of my own fabulous shoes, I was breaking in my Ancient Greek Sandals for holiday so tweeted them in. I was shortlisted the next day and then chosen as the winner by none other than Fashion Foie Gras!
I was super excited to have won and to get to work on designing. I couldn’t quite decide what I wanted so I played about with some different styles. At first I really wanted a pair of black sandals as I’ve been looking for ages now, however I settled on a pointed court as I had wanted some bright coloured ones and never found any I really liked. I came across some Jimmy Choos which inspired my choice for the turquoise colour!
They only took a couple of weeks to arrive and were presented beautifully in a black box with a big pink ribbon. My new shoes also came with a velvet dust bag, gel foot pads and even a shoe keyring, such nice touches.
I thought they would look great with skinny jeans and I wasn’t wrong. I wore them on Friday to my dad’s birthday dinner at Smithfields. For a first time wear I got by with just a little pinch at the toes, they are the most comfortable heels I own and can’t wait to wear them again! Here I teamed them with a River Island floral blouse, H&M skinny jeans and I just had got my hair done by Tom at Zoo Salon, which is based funnily enough on actual Upper Street!
