Today like any other day, I saw a dog on the tube in a camouflage jacket, a man bouncing like Tigger down the escalator, I said the C word in my head to everyone on the tube with a backpack and I bopped along to Will Smiths Miami in my tropical shirt.
So it was fresh of breath air to spend my lunch hour with a complete unknown, a stranger!
Last week I told you all about the new lunch site Get Lunched, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear from them. They had seen my post and tweeted to say thanks, and that they loved it. They then aptly asked me to GET Lunched by Jan who is their regular social-ite like myself.
We messaged over the site, to eventually exchanging numbers and Twitter handles. Then we agreed to meet up at Wagamamas, shock (my fav) and also free food (can’t resist) just off Liverpool Street.
I am quite used to meeting new people, as in my job it requires me to deal with clients on a daily basis, however it is quite scary meeting a total stranger.
As soon as I met Jan I knew we would get on well, she was bubbly and we had lots to talk about. The convo flowed from social media, lunches, living in London to sleazy Twitter celebrities (ask me later)
We ordered our usual dishes without even looking at the menu, I swear one day I will try something different, recommendations welcome.
It was definitely NOT scary and was really refreshing to meet someone new and also escape from the office.
I wore my new shirt from Pull & Bear, tropical fever. Just like Cheryl Cole in her new video but without the stylist, make-up and hair hmm damn…
So thanks to Jan and the Get Lunched team for my treat was super duper!
Follow them both here @GetLunched and @lifeofnam and let me know of your lunch adventures you get up to.
Go forth lunchettes!
