Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate

August 6, 2015

Kiehl’s held an event for their new Daily Reviving Concentrate back in June, where I was able to hear about the science and research behind the making of the product from the Kiehl’s experts themselves. I wanted to give it a good try before I blogged about it and so for the past month have using it in my daily morning routine. I already have Kiehl’s Line Reducing Concentrate and the Midnight Recovery, both of which I think are excellent skincare products, so was eager to see how this performed.

Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate is a light facial oil which awakens, revitalizes and energizes the look of fatigued skin. So I’m talking about when you get to the end of the day and your skin just looks dull and in need of a bit of a boost, or in some cases in the morning after a long night. Daily Concentrate has been designed to support skin’s daily defences and help skin to stay revitalized throughout the day. After a full day our skin can start to look fatigued and therefore causing it to look older, with the more prominent appearance of fine lines as well as dull, dehydrated and tiredness.

Kiehl's Reviving Concentrate

How does it work?

It has a concentrated blend of naturally derived ingredients including Ginger Root Essential Oils, Tamanu and Sunflower Seed Botanical Oils, which are designed to reduce daily environmentally induced oxidation or in normal terms, it creates a barrier against all those horrible nasties coming at us throughout the day. Whether it be pollution, the oxidation caused by UVA/UVB rays, poor air quality or maybe stress, it strengthens the skin’s barrier against these to keep a youthful looking appearance. The ginger root oil protects and soothes skin, sunflower seed oil, hydrates and smooths and tamanu oil locks moisture into the skin.

Who can use it?

Everyone. All skin types, even oily skin can use an oil as it won’t make your skin any oiler, often a misconception of facial oils. It won’t make your skin greasy and dries in really quickly.

How to Apply?

You only need a few drops, these are really small drops, or you may end up waiting quite a while for it to sink in. So little drops, which by the size of the bottle will last you a long time. Apply it after a serum and before a moisturiser.

Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate Review

I found the Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate fitted easily into my routine, I made sure just to use a couple of drops as this was more than enough. It dries in quick and I was able to apply moisturiser and then make-up. This to me is a great product as my skin can be quite dry and is very sensitive so to be able to offer a protection barrier is great. If you sit under air-con all day at work, you definitely need this product in your life. After trialling it for a month I would say my skin did look less fatigued at the end of the day, but then I wish I had taken a picture beforehand when I wasn’t using it to really be able to tell. Overall though I liked the feel of it on my skin and the concept behind it so will continue to use and hopefully see some long-term results. Bye, bye, fatigued face!

Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate launches this September priced at £36 available at www.kiehls.co.uk.

I am definitely open to trying oils on my skin even though I have an oily/breakout prone mess of a face, but I am soooo tired and not sleeping that it needs a little pizazz 😉 xx
