KAWS NEW FICTION is a brand new exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens and it brings together physical works with AR (Augmented Reality), in which you will need to download the Acute Art app to be able to view them.
KAWS is famous for his bright colours and sculptural characters and this UK exhibition has both, his brighter canvases are hanging up amongst a mixture of the fun characters. The app will help you discover more as you walk around the gallery, if you’ve ever played Pokemon Go then you’ll be fine.
I thought this was a great way to display works in a multiverse and add an additional element that you wouldn’t normally experience.
And when you leave don’t forget to look for the works outside via the app!
KAWS NEW FICTION runs until February 27th 2022 and is free to visit, view more here.
More art exhibitions from Yayoi Kusma at the Tate Modern and Damien Hirst at The Gagosian.
