Charlotte Tilbury have a brand new foundation in their range, Charlotte’s Beautiful Skin Foundation.
As with any new Charlotte Tilbury product this was much anticipated and personally I was very excited to try this. My skin is on the dehydrated/drier side and so a foundation with a hydrating glow is exactly what I look for when it comes to my base.
I put the foundation to the test and here are my thoughts and review.
Beautiful Skin Foundation has 30 shades with warm, cool and neutral undertones. I used the foundation finder to help me choose my shade, you can either upload a photo or match with your current foundation which I chose to do.
I entered a couple of foundations I know work for me in their shades and the finder recommended shade 6 Neutral. When it arrived I was so impressed that this was absolutely spot on. It’s so important now when shopping online and especially during these times to have a finder like this that will help match you and for it to be accurate.
I do tend to wear my foundation darker than my skin tone as I wear fake tan and so I was very happy with the shade.
As with any make-up I always prep my face before foundation, I’ve been using Charlotte’s Magic Cream for hydration and also Brightening Youth Glow Primer.
The foundation is easy to apply with a brush, it honestly just sort of glides on. It definitely feels hydrating as I apply and is easy to blend into my face. One thing I noticed is that where I have dry areas around the corners of my nose, foundations usually gather slightly and I wasn’t getting that at all.
Overall it was extremely easy to apply and it is in a pump tube so perfect for carrying with you in a make-up bag.
This has a medium coverage but it is easy enough to build up if you wanted more. This gave my skin an even, plump and glowy complexion, it is very natural but at the same time covers everything it needs to. I liked the overall look and it works well with other Charlotte Tilbury products I use such as the Beauty Light Wand and Magic Vanish Under Eye Brightener.
Instead of powder I set it with some of the Airbrush Bronzer on the contour areas which worked well. It lasted throughout the day and it is said to have a 16 hour wear time.
My skin is on the dehydrated/drier side and this works beautifully, I think for normal skin it also would fair well. For oilier skins, I can’t comment as much but it does say it decreases oiliness and visibly reduces the appearance of pores, so I think you would just be able to set with a powder.
What I love about this foundation is the skincare science, it has Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and plump, Damask Rose water and oil to illuminate skin, Hyalurosmooth® derived from Cassia Angustifolia Seeds, which are naturally rich in polysaccharide and even skin texture and improve dryness and loss of radiance.
It also has Pollution Defence where by sustainably sourced coconut flour strengthens the skin barrier.
I was excited to try this foundation and I wasn’t disappointed, it has a medium coverage, gives an even finish, brings radiance and a boost to my complexion.
It works well with the other products in my routine, is easy to apply and stays on. It’s everything I need!
Charlotte’s Beautiful Skin Foundation is £34 and available now at Charlotte Tilbury.

I have been using it for almost a week now and absolutely love it. My skin on dry and works beautifully. I was off on the color I chose, but absolutely love it. I did order a shade lighter to try. I am definitely sold on Charlotte Tulbury
