Tomorrow night will be the NFL Super Bowl XLIX and even though it may be an American event, here in London there are definitely some celebrations happening across the city, with plenty bars and restaurants holding special nights for the occasion. The teams battling it out are the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. Now I know nothing about American Football but I do like picking a team for the Superbowl and of course staying up to see the act. This year it’s Katy Perry joined by Lenny Kravitz and a surprise guest! Katy always puts on an amazing show so I can’t wait to see it!
So where can you watch the Superbowl, here is a selection of bars and restaurants having a shindig. Kick off is at 11.30pm but the festivities will be starting before then at some places-
Planet Hollywood
Get the truly American feel at Planet Hollywood, where they be will be kicking everything off from 10pm. Enjoy a three course menu for £37 and have a table allocated for the entire game. Dishes include buffalo wings, steak and chips and BBQ bacon cheese burgers. You can also watch the game in the cocktail bar for £15 a ticket, which includes a bottle of beer, glass of wine or soft drink.

One of the best places for fried chicken in London, I was just there on Friday lunchtime! Joe’s will be charging a £10 entry fee, which will get you a beer and fried chicken. Choose from plenty food, including hot dogs, chicken, burgers and a neat selection of cocktails whilst you watch the game on the plasma screens. Entry from 10.30pm.

Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes
If you want to start your night off a little earlier, Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes will be kicking off their event from 7pm with beers, plenty of American style food and with three floors, if the football gets a little slow then try your hand at karoake, pool, beer pong, bowling and of course a DJ will be playing, so you can get your groove on! Tickets £10 which includes a free beer.

Club Aquarium
East London’s biggest club (it has a swimming pool and jacuzzi!) will have live performances from London cheerleaders The Crystals to get you in the Superbowl spirit. They will have six large screens, a projector and 360 degree viewing. Plus plenty of games in the games room such as beer ponfg xbox and various competitions throughout the night. They even have a VIP package which gives you an exclusive area for 12 friends and a bottle of champagne.

Playboy Club London
For the Superbowl, the Playboy bunnies at the Playboy Club will be dressed in stars and stripes bunny costumes and serving up plenty food! Reserved seat plus a Playboy burger and a bottle of beer is £25. The fun begins at 9pm.

Frankie’s Sports Bar & Diner
Winning the prize for most screens this Superbowl. Frankie’s will have twelve screens to watch the game on. With plenty of food to choose from, burgers and ribs a plenty and wash it down with a whiskey or bourbon. Tickets start at £7, for £20 you can reserve a seat and also get a free bottle of Bud and a burger or hot dog.

Bison & Bird
For just £3 in advance enjoy the game at Bison & Bird in Clapham. The bar will be open till 4am and serving up buckets of Bud for £15, burgers, hot dogs and hot wings to enjoy as you watch the game on the big plasma screens.
