Old Fashioned Pop Up London Cocktail Week

The Art Of the Old Fashioned 

If you love Old Fashioned’s as much as Danny does, then this special Old Fashioned pop-up bar is for you. Craft bourbon Woodford Reserve proudly presents The Art of the Old Fashioned, a one-of-a-kind bar celebrating the classic American cocktail. Set in the heart of Shoreditch from 6th to 9th October 2015 the bar will offer an exclusive opportunity to sample a menu collaborated by some of the world’s most skilled bartenders, including Eric Lorinz at The SAVOY to Marian Beke at Nightjar. There is also the opportunity to take part in a masterclass, which will invite guests to turn their hands to the craft of mixology, creating their own unique recipe under the guidance of the brand ambassador.

The Art of the Old Fashioned, 347 Old Street in East London, open 6pm to 11pm. Each Old Fashioned will be priced at £5, with the masterclasses priced at £15. 

Freixenet London Cocktail Week

Freixenet Takeover

Spanish wine producer Freixenet are teaming up with William Borrell founder of Vestal Vodka and the Ladies & Gentlemen bar, to curate a special blend of cocktails for London Cocktail Week. Freixenet will be taking over the Ladies & Gentleman bar on Thursday October 8t, with cocktails including ‘Twinkle Toes’ a blend of Vestal Vodka, Elderflower Cordial and Freixenet and also one for the spice lovers, ‘Catalan Rose’ blended with Quiquiriqui Mescal Hibiscus Syrup, Lime Juice, Pepper Juice, Tabasco Sauce and Freixenet Cordon Rosado.

Absolut Ice Carver Masterclass London Cocktail Week

Have you ever wondered how those perfectly carved ice cubes fit in your drinks? Absolut have brought an ice specialist, Andrea Patelli from Little Quarter bar in Stockholm to show you how to do just that. Andrea is an expert ice carver and at this masterclass you will be able to learn how enhance your drinks with ice and also carve your own iceball. Guests will receive a drink and samples throughout the evening. The class is on Thursday 8th and also Sat 10th and Sun 11th at Be at One.

House of Peroni London Cocktail Week

House of Peroni

This October, Peroni Nastro Azzurro will bring a taste of The House of Peroni’s iconic residency to London Cocktail Week. From 5th-11th October, guests will be welcomed to challenge their perceptions of mixology at the Peroni Nastro Azzurro stand within the historic Old Spitalfields Market, which will be transformed into the largest cocktail market the world has ever seen for the week-long event. The Italian brand will be the only beer featured at this year’s festival and will be serving up three bespoke cocktails, as well as the specially priced ‘Agro Dolce’ £5 for LCW wristband holders, which is a combination of Peroni Nastro Azzurro infused with the iconic flavour of Chinotto, a bitter orange that is unique to Italy and an essential flavour of the Amari aperitif family.

Tour of the City

Want to make the most of your wristband? Over on the London Cocktail Week website, they have compiled tours for each area of London, whether you fancy going round Soho, strutting round Mayfair or exploring somewhere new, they have divided all the participating bars into areas so you can plan where to go.  This is great if you are unfamiliar with certain areas and means you can plan ahead your evenings. All participating bars will be serving up their £5 cocktails for wristband holders. Pick a tour over on the website.
