This summer Sleek Makeup have another Limited Edition collection and this one is entitled the ‘Nautical Collection’. The collection comes in sailor inspired blue, white and red packaging and has three cosmetics, which include the i-Divine ‘Calm Before The Storm’ Palette, ‘Santa Marina’ Blush by Blush 3 Palette and a semi matte true colour lipstick in ‘Reddy To Sail’.
Starting with the eye palette it has 12 colours, ranging from neutral shimmers to slightly matte oranges and greens, to the most vibrant blues.
The blue metallic shimmer shade is to die for. The colours are so summery and perfect for on holiday or at a festival, but also the more neutral shades can work for everyday too, like the look I’ve created below with it. I used the light brown shade in ‘Barque’ over the eyelid and then the light orange ‘Voyage’ in the inner crease, with the shimmering neutral ‘Starboard’ on the brow bone.
The blush palette has three shades, ‘Coral Dune’, ‘Phoenix Sand’ and ‘Calypso Island’, you can apply them on their own or layer for intensity. I used the lightest shade as a slight highlight, then worked with the darker shade for blush and added a touch of the coral orange on top to create a very natural look. Even though the orange looks very vibrant, if you don’t go too heavy-handed you can get a lovely blush colour from this and a great one to match the lipstick which is my favourite piece from the collection I think. The shade is a semi-matte coral-red and just goes on super smooth and feels very hydrating. I’m a big fan of Sleek lipsticks as they stay on so well and the colour of this is fab.
The Nautical collection is available now from Boots & Superdrug and also online at Sleek where you can buy the three pieces for £19.99.
