Sky High Sessions

The Sky Garden has fastly become one of my favourite places in London. Thirty-five floors high in the sky above 20 Fenchurch Street is where you will find the Sky Garden, with its two restaurants and SkyPod bar. Last week Danny and I were invited along to one of the first evenings of the Sky High Sessions at the Sky Pod bar. Beginning last Friday the 17th April, the Sky Pod bar will host on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights live music, featuring some of the best musical talent, live bands and DJ’s.

As well as the new Sky High sessions, the Sky Pod bar has had a bit of a makeover since I last visited. Gone are the winter throws and in place are beautiful blooms, vintage bicycles, green faux lawns and comfy Spring cushions in its new English Country Garden theme.

There are also newly created cocktails including Pink Is The Question – Ciroc Vodka, green apple liqueur, blueberries and lime, or try Rooibos Tea Party a mix of Bloom gin, DOM Benedictine, rooibos tea, lime juice and orange zest. Mine came complete with pink candyfloss and a fantastic view.

It was great to see the sun setting across the city as I had only been in the daytime before and it all looks so different at night doesn’t it!
