The Oscars – All The Dresses

If you didn’t know already The Oscars are this weekend and I just wanted to share with you this awesome infographic I came across yesterday on the Cosmopolitan website. I’m not one for infographics but I just love this one created by MediaRun Digital. It shows every award-winning actresses dress since 1929, listing the winner and the designer that she wore.

Some of my favourites are in the most recent years including last years winner Jennifer Lawrence in Dior, Susan Sarandon in Dolce & Gabbana and Helen Hunt in Tom Ford for Gucci. It gives such a good look at the way the styles have evolved.

So what will this year’s winner be wearing? Well the nominees are Amy Adams (American Hustle), Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine), Sandra Bullock (Gravity), Judi Dench (Philomena) and Meryl Streep (August: Osage County) and I have no idea what they will be wearing or who will win but I’m going to bet my prediction is Amy Adams who wore a stunning red Valentino gown to the Golden Globes. I wonder if she will opt for the same designer?

I’ve been daydreaming and picked out some of my favourite Oscar worthy dresses, all from Luisaviaroma that I’d wear on the red carpet, when I’ll actually be watching on E! in my pyjamas! *Sigh*
