Monochrome Mania

This month I am so happy to have been selected by JOY as their blogger of the month! With the title comes the fact I was invited along to choose some new pieces from the Autumn collection to style up. I was really excited to see all the new pieces, I love the summer weather but I’m dying to get my hands on new collection.

Some of the first few pieces to drop from the new collection are very sports and monochrome inspired and as soon as I saw them I knew I had to have them! I chose this Quentin jacket as bomber jackets are so on trend for Autumn. I love the the sports luxe look with its micro quilted fabric, it actually looks quite like leather, but is so lightweight and great as a transitional piece into Autumn. Wear it on cold Summer nights or with a light t-shirt underneath. I just think this jacket is so versatile and can work for night or day, I love it!

I decided to pair it with the most amazing top. The Vanda top isn’t just any normal top, look closer and you will see the gorgeous stud like embossing all across it, which is created with the fabric alone. It really adds a great effect to the top and I love the button detailing at the back. It again can be dressed up or down and the shape works really well with skinny jeans, here I paired it with a pair of ASOS black skinny jeans.

Keeping with the monochrome theme this bag goes perfectly. I like the medium size of it and the cross body strap, plus the buckle detailing on the front. I am really liking smaller bags now rather than oversized as it really limits me to how much I can carry and doesn’t weigh me down which is great. This bag is actually from the summer collection and is over half price in the JOY sale now! Completing the look these Topshop flat shoes are an alternative to wearing trainers with the sports luxe theme, I love the perforated holes in them, which add a great design.
