The exhibition is dedicated to the fashion deisgner’s latest book, ‘The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld‘. Karl and French Vogue Editor Carine have created a set of images dedicated to the classic jacket and worn in various fashions by celebrities, models and actresses/actors. These include Kirsten Dunst, Kanye West, Sarah Jessica Parker and Alexa Chung.

Karl Lagerfeld became a professional photographer in 1987 and has received various awards for his passion including the Design Award from the Raymond Loewy Foundation, Culture Prize form the German Photographic Society and in 2007 the Trustees Award from the International Center of Photography in New York.

I popped down to the Saatchi on Sunday and the prints were fabulous. I took some pictures of my favourites. Kanye West was a great image of the star plus I loved Anna Wintour, summed her up completely!

Model Kristen McMenamy really captured a scene in this photo with a roadkill rose, whilst Virgine Viard – Chanel’s Studio Director really spiked up her jacket.

The photographs are not all black and white, some have a colour wash over them, such as this one of Alexa Chung.

I actually got to take a BIG print of Georgia May Jagger (seen above) home as not only is the exhibition FREE but you also get to take home one of three prints for free too. Which will be great for an apartment wall, so make sure to go along before it ends.

The exhibition is on its world tour and will only be at the Saatchi Gallery for two weeks until November 4th.
