Being a skincare fanatic I’m surprised I have never tried anything from cult American brand Kate Somerville. Known as one of the top facialists in Hollywood, Kate has her own brand of skincare heroes and one product that drew me in was the DermalQuench Hydrating + Plumping Treatment. I recently noticed the Wrinkle Warrior trial kit on Cult Beauty and it included this product plus the Wrinkle Warrior 2-in-1 Plumping Moisturizer + Serum and the Cold Cream Moisturizing Cleanser + Makeup Remover, both of which sounded right up my street so I was sold.
I have been using the kit for a little while now, so I thought I would share my thoughts on them, because *spoiler* I love them.
Inside the Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior Kit £35 you will find.
DermalQuench Wrinkle Warrior Advanced Hydrating + Plumping Treatment 15g
With three different sizes of hyaluronic acid combined with oxygen and Sichuan pepper extract in an airtight spray I knew my skin would drink this up. This will work for any skin type but for my dehydrated skin it’s absolutely perfect. It’s a cocktail of hydration pumped right into your face via the spray. Just shake it well and apply either onto hands or straight onto the face avoiding eyes and lips. The minute I used this my skin may aswell have let out an aah, it was exactly what it needed. The treatment plumps and hydrates the skin, which in turn fights off wrinkles and crows feet. I love this product and I will definitely be purchasing the full-size.
Wrinkle Warrior 2-in-1 Plumping Moisturizer + Serum 15ml
This has a hybrid name because it’s exactly that. I wouldn’t say it has a moisturiser texture or that of a serum, it really is an in between the two. For me I tend to use moisturiser afterwards but not every time. When I’ve used it with the treatment I’ve just used that and then put this on top. It makes my face feel instantly hydrated and over time promises to firm the skin and reduce crows feet, fine lines and course wrinkles. From using this and the treatment I’ve already seen a reduction in my expression lines on my forehead. This is a lovely product and I’m now worried for my bank balance.
Cold Cream Moisturizing Cleanser + Makeup Remover 15g
The last product is the Kate Somerville Cold Cream Moisturizing Cleanser + Makeup Remover, I tend to use this as my second cleanse only for the pure reason I like my second cleanse to be moisturising and to get rid of any final traces of make-up and it works great for that. I haven’t tested it just to remove my make-up but I’m pretty confident it would. I love the feel of this cleanser on my skin, it does feel nourishing when it hits my skin and is just such a joy to apply with a cooling feeling and it smells great too. Pretty sure I’ll be repurchasing this too.
I am so happy with this kit and it was a great way to try out the brand and products. I can’t wait to try more from Kate Somerville, I’ve got my eye on the new stress recovery cream and also the setting spray with SPF 50.
Kate Somerville is available at Cult Beauty, Space NK and Kate Somerville.
