I’ve been going on about High Street Fashion Week for a while now on the blog and this week it is well underway. Not only are the brands showcasing at Boxpark in Shoreditch all this week but I got to mingle and chat with some of the brands participating at the press party on Monday.
The party took place at Penthouse in Leicester Square, on the seventh floor the bar/club overlooks the Square with a great view of the city too.
I teamed up with some other bloggers who were attending, Nicki, Jo and Gemma and her lovely sister Abi! It’s great to go to an event all together as you’re not left with that ‘lost’ feeling when you get there. We all got some cocktails and decided to mingle our way round the brands.
My first stop was with Smeidi London. Smeidi is a range of jewellery and was set up by Heidi Martin who started making jewellery as a hobby, but when her friends and family were asking for creations she knew it was time to start-up her own brand. I really loved the rings, they had a honeycomb effect to which stones can be placed within the small holes and also some come with big stones on the front, such a great piece.
It was then great to finally meet the creator Nat of Lillies of the Alley! I have been wearing the varsity jacket they sent me pretty much most days – look out for an outfit post very soon! Here are some pieces from the new collection, with Nicki holding the Bel Air Head jacket for me – LOVE!
Glitzy & Glam – these guys are great! Jewellery and accessories at very cheap prices. They use the same suppliers as Boohoo just cheaper. I picked up this orange and skull scarf but just look at all those jewels.
They have also gave me a discount code for all my lucky readers, check out their site and enter GG10 at the checkout for a 10% discount!
Holiday Boutique – Glam range of swimwear which has been featured on Michelle Heaton and Gabs Made in Chelsea this week! For girls who need bikinis anytime of the year not just in summer, check them out!
I had spoken to Claire from Cat-a-cake creations on email and it was so lovely to see her jewellery, my favourite was this ice-cream necklace which she let me take away with me, thankyou!
There were lots of different brands there and this was only a handful of what’s on offer all week!
I’m looking forward to the fashion show on Saturday too where the Glitter beats will be playing again, the DJ twosome provided the tunes on Monday to which I was loving, naturally.
