Just the name of Dr Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream has me excited, collagen and deep is definitely going to do that to a girl.
This is a deeply hydrating moisturiser from one of my favourite skincare brands. I’m definitely seeing a trend for the products that work well for me, they all seem to come from Drs; Dr Murad, Dr Barbara Sturm, Image Skincare and of course Dr Dennis Gross, I’m all about that science.
When it comes to skincare I’ve become more aware of the ingredients to look out for as well as understanding the names of these and why they are included. So it doesn’t take me long to see why this cream is so outstandingly good, the ingredients list is absolutely packed with benefits. We have Vitamin C (to help you look for it in products its chemical name is Ascorbic Acid), Glycolic Acid, numerous fruit extracts and Collagen Amino Acids to name a few.
The cream itself is very rich and some may even find it too much, but for my dehydrated skin I can’t get enough. It looks to hydrate the skin and in turn plump the skin, brighten the complexion and with the vitamin C reduce dark spots and fine lines, overall it will bring your skin back to life if it’s feeling dull, lacklustre or in need of some TLC. A concentration of oils are included to help to repair skin’s barrier function and reduce trans-epidermal water loss.
It can be used morning and night, but I’ve tended to use it just at night or be careful with my application in the morning as it’s quite thick and I feel like it was making my make-up slide a little, so for this I stuck to using it in the evenings. Paired with a great serum and after a peel or scrub this will really penetrate the skin to hydrate it. It’s definitely a long-lasting hydration too, something I struggle to find when looking for a moisturiser.
I’m obsessed with this cream and think it’s worth every penny.
Dr Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream is £77 and available at ASOS, Cult Beauty, Space NK and Net A Porter.
