The countdown to Christmas for me has officially begun. I am well under way in my present buying and also have stocked up on wrappings and tree decorations. With only 4 weeks to go I am feeling quite prepared which for me is unsettling as I am never prepared for Christmas. It always comes so quickly and then I have one week left to get everything!
I much prefer shopping online to in store, don’t get me wrong I love seeing all the Christmas displays in stores like Harrods and Selfridges Christmas windows are always amazing, but I just hate battling crowds and being disappointed when I can not get that perfect gift I’ve tried three streets worth of the same shop to find because it’s out of stock. No, I much prefer sitting behind my laptop in my pyjamas and in a few clicks it’s all done and arriving at my door, bliss! Yesterday saw some great offers as Black Friday hit the UK shops and people went crazy. There are still plenty offers to be had this weekend so I have listed some of my favourites I thought would be useful when buying some gifts.
Also if you are stuck for ideas check out my top fashion and beauty gifts under £100 over on the Shopstyle x Amex inspiration hub. This is my first post for the hub and I am very happy to be included in the company of such fantastic bloggers such as Susie Bubble, so do take a peek.

As well as present buying, as I said I stocked up on tree decorations. I got these lovely coloured glitter and mirror baubles from Paperchase for only £6.50 for the whole pack. They are really bright and colorful so I think that will be my tree theme this year. I got lots of wrappings in Paperchase too, they had such a great selection. I am also adding a personalised touch to our tree this year with these initial decorations from Marks & Spencer. At only a £1 each I just loved them!
I’ve also been lucky enough to be sent these beauty treats for my tree. Rodial have their own glam balm lip balm tree decoration £14 with a full size lip balm in it and Aromatherapy Associates have an inner strength bath and shower oil in a star £10, which is so cute. So I will definitely be hanging these on the tree too to give my friends a treat when they come round to visit.
I still have a bit to wait though till decorating, as our tree is ordered to come on December 10th. This year I am being sent a real tree from the lovely people at Pines & Needles. Who not only do they deliver all over the UK but if you are London-based can also set up your tree and better yet decorate it if needs be. I quite like to do the decorating part so for me they will be bringing it in and setting it up, which is always the hard part. I can’t wait as I love the smell of a new tree in our flat! Also did I mention men in kilts ahem.
If you are still to order your tree do check out Pines & Needles and they are offering my readers £5 off an order with the code LDN14 at checkout.
Are you all set for Christmas, what have you been buying?
