Momentus Champagne Bar – Cumberland Hotel

Yesterday evening I attended the launch of The Cumberland hotels new Momentus Champagne Bar. The Cumberland is based just on Marble Arch and is in the heart of the city, perfect for shopping fans. The new bar takes a champagne theme and for the launch we were treated to jazz music by a live band, oysters, canapes and of course plenty of lovely Moet & Chandon champagne was flowing.

Inside the bar it has a widely lit long bar filled with champagne bottles and plenty of room to sit down. Chandeliers hang from the ceilings and give the bar a nice feel. Straight away the oyster ice sculpture caught my eye, making sure guests had there oysters prepared was the chef serving them up. I’ve never actually had oysters before, but I wasn’t brave enough to try them just yet!

There were lots of other nibbles too, including olives, nuts and some amazing little chorizo parcels. I had a great evening and the hotel itself is really nice inside.

After copious amounts of champagne we wandered down Oxford Street which is right on your doorstep and Selfridges had their new Christmas windows on display which just were revealed just yesterday. It was so great to see them all, they are always so amazing and worthy of a picture of too. I love all the details, especially the cute penguins and the surrounding twinkly lights make it very festive. My favourite I think was the massive Dr Dre headphones or the Ace of Spades champagne. Christmas is vastly creeping upon us!
