Charlotte Tilbury Bar Of Gold Highlighter Palette

If there was ever going to be a highlighter palette that could convert me from my beloved cream highlight to a powder, it would be the Charlotte Tilbury Bar Of Gold Highlighter Palette.

This new launch from Charlotte Tilbury is absolutely stunning and it’s perfect for a summer glow. I’ve been obsessed wearing it alongside the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise in Rose Gold, which is such a natural and easy eyeshadow to wear in this hot weather. I can see this palette being an all year-rounder though, the colours are pretty neutral and just add such a gorgeous and subtle glow.

The palette takes inspiration from the original Charlotte Tilbury Bar Of Gold highlighter, in the palette you have the Original Gold, a new Rose Gold – which is beautiful and my favourite and then the new Gold Bullion, which is a deeper more bronzed glow, great for with a tan or darker skin tones.

On swatching these, I thought they would be quite glittery, but they were completely different and each shade has luxurious pure gold pearls to illuminate and give that subtle glow, Charlotte calls it ‘skin gilding’, of course it’s buildable so if you want a stronger look just apply more. With that said you can also use these shades wet for a more striking look, a great tip is to use a damp brush and apply some to the corner of your eye to make it pop.

The compact is light and easy to carry in your handbag, as well as it has a mirror on the inside. It’s such a good size for travelling and gives you the flexibility of different looks.
