One fashion show I am always excited to see is Chanel and again Karl Lagerfeld has not disappointed for the Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015 collection. The show took place in Paris today under the huge glass roof of the Grand Palais and the catwalk had been transformed into a Garden of Eden. Karl took inspiration for this collection from nature which can be seen from elements such as the 3D floral embroidery and the crystal flowered epaulettes.
The whole show just encapsulated Spring, with the light colours, floral designs and straw couture bonnets with tulle. There were block colour Chanel suits with A-line skirts, sometimes paired with midriff tops. I am in awe of the little pink jacket with bow and hooded long capes, plus looks like the mesh beanie will be remaining a favourite. The wedding dress finished the show, with a train adorned in flowers, a tulle bonnet and fingerless long gloves.
Karl and Chanel proves there is still innovative design in the fashion world and it might not always be the most practical but it is breathtakingly fabulous.
