Have you have ever wished you could create your own chocolate bar? Then this opportunity from Cadbury is not to be missed.
Cadbury are asking you, yes you to get creative and go ‘madbury for Cadbury’ by creating your own version of the Cadbury Dairy Milk bar. The best part is the winning bar will become the latest bar in the Cadbury Dairy Milk range as a limited edition bar and sold alongside favourites like Fruit & Nut and Caramel.
How do I get involved?
Throughout July (1st-31st) Cadbury is giving you the opportunity to choose from over 90,000 combinations of ingredients, everything from cola jellies and Oreos to lychee, spicy chilli and cornflakes. You can really get as inventive as you like. After carefully choosing up to three ingredients to go in your Cadbury Dairy Milk bar, you’ll have to give it a name, choose the colour of your wrapper ribbon and fill in what inspired your selection.
This is the first time Cadbury have ever opened their doors to the public like this and if you are lucky enough to be chosen as one of the three finalists, you will also get to visit Cadbury’s Chocolate Centre of Excellence in Bournville, the home of Cadbury where you will get to work with chocolate experts to make your creation a reality.
All three bars will then be available to try out in 2019 where the UK will be able to vote and purchase their favourite creation to decide which of the finalists will be crowned the ultimate winner. The winning bar will then be sold in supermarkets for a minimum of 12 months and the winner will also receive a year’s supply of their delicious creation.
My Creation
So what would I create? It was a tough choice but I settled on bubblegum, marshmallow and popping candy. I am an absolute sucker for fun chocolate bars, I was always that kid at the supermarket queue with the wide eyes as I approached the checkout and saw all the bars of chocolate staring back at me. Not going to lie it was always the ones with the fun wrappers or cool sounding ingredients that I ended up sneaking in the trolley, so popping candy was a must. I love the combination of marshmallows in chocolate and then the bubblegum, I was interested to see how that flavour would taste with my other two ingredients. I named my bar ‘Bubble & Pop’ and if no-one else likes it, I know I’d buy it!
There are so many ingredients to choose from, so whether you choose what you like or just want to get inventive with a new Cadbury Dairy Milk bar that you think others would love then the choice is yours.
