I’ve recently been trying out a couple of products from Aromatherapy Associates. If you hadn’t heard of them before they have been the leading aromatherapy experts for over 30 years and their products are used in spas and hotels throughout the world as well as selling in stores such as Liberty and Selfridges.
I have been keen to try some anti-ageing products, I think it’s best to start now rather than when I have the wrinkles and then complain that I can’t get rid of them, so I opted to try out their Anti-Ageing Instant Skin Firmimg Serum. The serum is to target fine lines and restore firmness and radiance to your skin. It has moisturising larch and algae extracts to plump and tone your skins appearance whilst the rejuvenating pomegranate seed extracts protects your skin from any environmental damage.
One thing I have never really used in my skincare regime is a serum, so I found this a really welcome addition. I cleansed my face as normal and then applied the serum. It has a nice lightweight feel, it’s not thick or creamy and dries into the skin very quickly. You can them follow with moisturiser or oil afterwards.
The serum has a fragrance that can only be described as plants, which is probably from all the natural plant extracts. I’m not one for fragranced products but this didn’t bother me at all! After using this I can definitely feel my skin being firmer from the first use and I’m looking forward to continuous use.
I have recently become obsessed with oils, especially cleansing ones, look out for a feature to come soon to the blog. I feel like they really help if you have dry skin compared to a cream based formula. The Renewing Rose Massage & Body Oil from Aromatherapy Associates is definitely one of the best body oils I have used. It is packed with ingredients rose, neroli, geranium and evening primrose to leave your skin deeply nourished, hydrated and smooth.I applied this after a shower and it really left my skin feeling very smooth and not greasy so I was able to get dressed pretty quickly. It’s also great if you can convince someone into giving you a massage, the smell is so relaxing, perfect to unwind after a stressful day.
The Skin Firming Serum retails at £48 and the Rose Massage Oil is £41, also Marie Claire this month has a trial pack of some of their products and 20% off, so hurry and grab it before the next issue is out!
