Wimbledon Comes To The Big Screen

June 21, 2013

Wimbledon kicks off next week on Monday (weather prevailing) and if like me your are unlucky enough not to have a ticket, well fear not, as the tennis is coming to a big screen near you round London town as part of the Great British Summer.

Land Securities is bringing the tennis to YOU with free outdoor Wimbledon screenings starting Monday 24th June until Sunday 7th July, from 12pm-9pm daily across London.

Where are these I hear you ask?

Cardinal Place: Victoria Street, London SW1 (nearest underground stations: Victoria, Westminster, St James’s Park) www.cardinalplace.co.uk

New Street Square: New Fetter Lane, London EC4 (nearest underground stations: Chancery Lane, Holborn and City Thameslink) www.newstreetsquare.co.uk. New Street Square will not be showing Wimbledon at weekends during the tournament.

Bankside Mix: Southwark Street, London SE1 (nearest underground stations: Southwark, London Bridge and Waterloo) www.banksidemix.co.uk

What’s cool is the screens are installed on specially designed retro caravans, plus each location has plenty restaurants and bars to satisfy your taste buds and will serve straight to your deckchair whilst you enjoy the tennis.

Oh and of course it’s free, who’s joining me?
