Winterville in Victoria Park
Winterville is London’s alternative pop up festive town with a whole host of events including; Circus, Ice Skating, Cirque Du Cabaret and more. On site there’s also Backyard Cinema, Christmas markets, a beautiful indoor Winter’s Night Garden showcasing Christmas classics new and old, as well as Plonk Crazy Golf, bars and London’s best street food vendors. Xmas Wrapper Snapper
Love buying gifts but hate wrapping them? The best way to impress with wrapping if like me your skills in that department are severely lacking, is to head to Boxpark where Wrapper Snapper will be popping up at Unit 26 offering a gift wrapping service and wrapping accessories. The pop-up will be open from 22nd December – 24th December between 9am and 7pm. Pricing starts from £2.50 per wrap (under a shoe box size).
Sleigh Boat Santa At St Katherine Docks
St Katharine Docks, Central London’s only marina, will host a unique, waterside Christmas celebration on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th December. The picturesque docks and adjacent riverfront, in the shadow of Tower Bridge, will be awash with festive food, gifts, music and entertainment. On Friday 18th December (11am – 7pm) Santa will make his speed boat entrance at 5.30pm. There, he will join his reindeer friends who will be at the Market from 1pm – 6pm. Children will have the opportunity to meet Santa, feed the reindeer and share their Christmas wish lists whilst The National Youth Jazz Orchestra will be providing entertainment between 2pm – 5pm. Meet Santa at ZSL London Zoo
Treat your little ones to a visit with Santa at London Zoo. Every day from Friday 18th to Thursday 24th December, visit Santa’s Christmas grotto in the heart of the Zoo, join in arts and crafts activities with Mrs Claus, and take home a festive family portrait and a special gift. Or opt for the VIP Meet Santa between Monday 21st to Thursday 24th December where VIP guests will get exclusive access to the Zoo before it opens to the public. They’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Zoo’s Terrace Restaurant before setting off with the festive elves to meet Santa and help feed the reindeers their breakfast. After meeting Santa, families can enjoy the rest of the day at the Zoo. Skate At Somerset House
One not to miss each year and this year the skating is sponsored by a truly iconic British brand, Fortnum & Mason. Enjoy skating on the ice rink situated in the centre of Somerset House on The Strand, then enjoy a hot chocolate or mulled wine the fortnum’s Skate Lodge. You can also add champagne and truffles when booking to your skate, to enjoy afterwards.
