Last night saw Vogue’s Fashion Night Out in full swing, with parties and events in shops all over London. I was lucky enough to be invited along to the Westfield London fashion show. It was going to be a great event with supermodel Yasmin Le Bon strutting down the catwalk and a glimpse at some of the new season fashion from the stores in the centre.
On arrival we headed to Searcys champagne bar where there was some pre drinks. I got my pass and the then the non-stop bubbles flowed. There were some lovely staff topping up our glasses so they weren’t empty, my kind of party. We got given a BIG goodie bag which I was desperate to rummage through, but I kept my cool and I will reveal all later what was in that! Behind me was Jessica Wright from Towie and her mum Carol, who was wearing so much make-up she pretty much looked 4D.
We shuffled along to the runway which was being held in The Atrium part of the centre, so people who didn’t have a ticket could look down from above which was pretty cool. The camera was going wild for the TOWIE lot and also Tyler James from The Voice, I swear this boy is following me ha ha.
The show kicked off to some Kanye West and Jay-Z which was exciting and the graphics on the screens were pretty cool, all different colours. Starting with one of the top season trends Gothic, the models wore skyscraper heels and were sleek with all long ponytail extensions. The clothes were a mixture from the stores such as Guess, Zara, and Ted Baker. I was in love with a fur black coat from Biba at House of Fraser.
Other trends were digital prints, metallics, burnt orange and gold brocade. The show ended with all the models coming out and walking down to much applause and after we were treated to soul singer Kristina Train who I have not heard of, she didn’t have much stage presence but she did have an amazing voice.
Now onto the goodie bag! I am very happy with this one, inside was various goodies including a NARS compact which I actually love the colours of, an OPI nail varnish which I also funnily like the colour, a gorgeous leopard necklace from Accessorize which I would have actually bought myself, a scarf from Angelica London, mascara and some other samples and offers, fabulous! Well done Westfield!
Westfield are running events all weekend so be sure to go along. I really had an awesome night at FNO and can’t wait for next year.
