Upper East Side

October 7, 2015

After visiting Drama Parlour with Danny on Saturday, we decided to take a wander round the area as East is somewhere we don’t often go. We stopped off in a park area in Bethnal Green where a few fuzzy friends decided to say hello, they definitely weren’t camera-shy that’s for sure and so after snapping them I decided to take a few outfit pictures to show you some new pieces I’ve picked up lately.

If you couldn’t tell from the leaves in these pictures, autumn is most definitely here and so is the colder weather. I picked up this herringbone coat last week in Zara and I’m so glad I did as it hasn’t been off my back since. I love the longer length and even though it’s long you can wear with heels or flats. It’s warm enough for now but in winter I can layer it with plenty of jumpers and a big warm scarf.

I’m a bit obsessed with hats and was pretty happy to finally find a fedora that fitted my head. I guess I must have a small head as any of the one sizes, really do not fit all. This one is from Aldo, I just love their accessories at the moment and fitted perfect. This might not be the Upper East Side, but it’s definitely East, so I thought my jumper was quite appropriate. A Topshop staple sweater, that is so fleecy and very like Wildfox, I love it.

I teamed these with ASOS black skinny jeans and ASOS metallic silver shoes. This was my first outing in these and they did hurt a little but I think they will be fine after a few wears. You just have to have the confidence to give them that first wear!

Afterwards we headed to Shoreditch and stopped off for an afternoon snack in a place I have been meaning to go to since it opened, the Cereal Killer Cafe. As you would expect they serve up cereal and it’s not just your standard box of cornflakes but amazing selections of cereals from all over the world and to be honest you aren’t quite sure where to begin.

Finally after much deliberation I had a bowl of S’More Kraves, topped with marshmallows and flake and Danny had Hershey’s cookies & cream and chocolate cinnamon swirls . You can choose your cereal, then toppings and even your milk.

The drinks are also as fun, with Ribena flavours, Capri Suns and flavoured Coca Cola’s. We sat down to eat and as I looked round in between people darting in and out just for a photo, I noticed on the board one of their special cereal cocktails, with Nutella and popping candy, I will definitely be back for that!
