I’m not the only one that wants to get my hands and feet looking tip-top for summer, guys need a little helping hand too. So when I wanted to try out my new Scholl Nail Beauty set, my boyfriend Danny offered to be my guinea pig, for a real MAN-icure! See what I did there?
The Scholl Nail Beauty set is great for manicures and of course pedicures, to get feet ready for summer sandals. The set comes in a compacted case and is a fantastic set complete with nail dryer and rechargeable manicure pen which can be used for up to 2 hours of cordless use. The dryer can also be operated by batteries, which is handy when it comes to moving the set about.
Inside the kit it sort of looks a bit terrifying, like you’re at the dentist with all the manicure pen attachments. Don’t worry however there is also an instruction manual so if you are new to all this then you will sure get the hang of it.
I started off using the medium shaping disc to shape and file Danny’s nails. This one is a little thicker so great for a man’s nails. The other file attachments include a larger one for a toes and also two thinner ones. There are two different speeds on the manicure pen, the faster one I’d say is great for filing and I used the slower for the edges.
After filing I moved onto the filing cone which smooths nail edges and gently removes any dead skin. I then used the hand-held cuticle stick and cuticle lifter to fix the cuticles. Afterwards I then moved onto the thin pointed stone which shapes nail corners, great for getting rid of those jaggy edges.
My favourite was the cleaning brush, it just tidies up all the bits of nail you’ve been filing away at. There are also two polish attachments, one for nails and toes, these are great and really buff up the nail.
I didn’t need the nail dryer this time as I don’t think he’s quite ready for nail polish just yet, but have used it myself and it really helps to dry the nails so quickly, I don’t know why I haven’t had one before.
And voila the MAN-icure was complete!
The set is really easy to use even for a beginner like me and great for getting your hands and feet in shape to bare during this hot weather! The Scholl Nail beauty Kit is on offer at Boots priced at £29.99.
