Radio 1 Hackney Weekend

On Saturday an array of super star artists descended on to Hackney Marshes for the BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend. I was lucky enough to get a ticket and WOW thank goodness, one of the best days of this year so far!

I got to see Rita Ora, DJ Fresh, Trey Songz, Delilah, Flo Rida, Sean Paul, Nicki Minaj and not forgetting JAY-Z and his Roc Nation gang KANYE WEST, Rihanna and M.I.A! It was so amazing to see all these artists in one day. The rain held off for most of the day but by the time it was pouring down during Jay-Z no one seemed to care! Everyone was having such a great time and there was a really good atmosphere throughout the whole festival.

Unfortunately I didn’t take any wellies, however the festival look composed of a Wildfox Tee, denim shorts from H&M and some shades by River Island.

Jay-Z performed all his classics like 99 Problems and Empire State of Mind. Rihanna came on to perform Run This Town and then for the finale Kanye West helped him pretty much perform the whole Watch the Throne album. N*ggas in Paris had such an amazing vibe and they did it about 4 times, whilst Beyonce moshed at the front!

My highlight was definitely Jay-Z but Flo Rida had such an amazing energy on stage that it really made the performance in the 1xtra tent.
