Marilyn Monroe Exhibition

June 5, 2012

Yesterday I was shopping in Westfield Stratford, which I am starting to actually like. I have always preferred Westfield White City, mainly I think it has a better atmosphere and I like ‘The Village’ area which houses all the designer stores like Miu Miu. My latest discovery at Stratford is Mulberry (awesome) and that also Victoria’s Secret is opening soon MAJOR plus from me!

Stratford also hosts an outdoor section which is where I stumbled upon the Marilyn Monroe Exhibition.
It is in the Getty Images gallery on The Street. Which is where you will find a few restaurants and other stores, including the Liberty’s pop-up store.

The exhibition marks 50 years of Marilyn’s death and has iconic images which depict her early years to her life at super stardom. The photographs are mainly black and white and are also available to be bought. The exhibition has been on for a while as I think it had some memorabilia also, but the photos are still up so was glad to have managed to see them.

During all the jubilee pandemonium it was nice to see the other Queen, The Queen of Film.

I took this photo whilst I was there,I think it has an eerie hologram effect.

There’s No Business like Show Business

Photos from the exhibition can be found at Getty Images site.
