You might remember the last time I popped round to Lee Stafford’s apartment was for a bloggers breakfast a few months ago. This time round I popped in for an afternoon where he was having a pop-up blow dry bar for press and bloggers. My hair feels a bit of a riot recently, I have been growing it for a while now and now that it’s long it’s so thick and takes forever to dry, so I was looking forward to having someone else dry and style it. Lee’s apartment is based in the heart of Soho and absolutely lovely, his beautiful wife Jess and their baby boy Angel was there, who is so adorable. Not to mention the cute dogs Pants & Knickers!
We had a bit of a chat about vlogging and whilst I was getting some good tips, Lee applied a new product to my hair before washing. The Argan Oil Pre Shampoo Treatment £16.99 is applied to dry hair and left on for about 10-15 minutes. If your hair is feeling dry and damaged or just needs a moisture boost then this is a great product. It’s a pre-shampoo healing treatment which improves the hairs structure and gives a deep clean whilst replenishing the natural oils that can be lost from heated appliances or over washing, two things I know I am guilty of. The treatment has a balance of sweet almond, omega rich wheat germ and of course the awesome Argan Oil to help lock moisture back into the hair. This is a great treatment especially for winter to keep your hair looking healthy.
Blow-drying my hair was Ben and we decided on something big and bouncy. I always love getting my hair blow-dried with volume as I really can’t do it myself very well and a bit of a wave. He used another two new additions to the Argan Oil Range; Glossing Blow Dry Gel £10.99 and Ultra Hydration Lotion also £10.99. The gel is fantastic as I have been using it already myself, I used it yesterday and my hair stayed put without frizzing in the rain, so big thumbs up from me! This gel really helps to blow-dry your hair smoothly and also provides heat protection too. The Ultra Hydration Lotion also to helps to keep hair nourished and smooth, its non greasy so won’t weigh down your hair and can easily combine the two products.
I was too busy chatting to notice what Ben was doing, when he was finished I absolutely loved it! It was so glamorous and Hollywood. Swept to one side with the other side held back. My red lipstick really set it off, I was wishing I had a night out after it!
I left with a bundle of goodies including the new Argan Oil products and also new brushes to try out. There are two new Argan Oil brushes, a paddle brush £9.99 which is infused with Argan Oil to restore hairs natural shine and bounce as you brush and also a rather bizarre looking Triangular Tension Tamer £14.99. This brush is really long so it’s great for drying lots of hair. Again infused with Argan Oil it gives closer tension to the scalp for extra volume when blow drying and also glides through hair easier to be able to make it smoother. The ceramic barrel helps to breakdown water molecules to help speed up drying time.
I am really looking forward to trying the Frizz Off Square Root brush £14.99, this brush helps to tame frizz, protect and restore hair and the square shape helps to add volume at the roots, this one is infused with Keratin to again help smooth the hair. The Big Fat Bouncy Brush £9.99, such a perfect name for this, when I saw it I thought what the hell is this. But this one is really good for creating volume for a big bouncy blow-dry, so I will need to get practising. Finally the Colour Therapy Sectioning Tail Comb £3.49 is great for sectioning off hair for up do’s or using with straighteners for keeping it down.
The new Argan Oil products and brushes will be available exclusively from Boots.com.
