Jubilee Fever in London

June 2, 2012

From just walking in the streets today you can’t miss that there is something going on. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee of course! Shop windows each have their own take on the British theme, streets are getting ready for the street parties, flags adorn Regent Street and Carnaby. Bunting hangs from people’s balconies (mine included) and I am going crazy buying jam, because its strawberry and champagne, for my sc-oo-nes yah.

I managed to capture some images today of the jubilee fever sweeping London. Look out for my new BFF all weekend.

God save the Queen!

What’s the deal with scones? Is it a typical British snack in June? Or typical Queen’s snack? I never heard of them until last Friday 😀

Not really a typical June snack, you get them all year round, but I suppose more people do eat them in summer with pimms etc!
