This month I’ve been lucky enough to have a play with some of Estée Lauder’s latest cosmetics for Autumn. I must admit I have never used anything from Estée Lauder own brand before apart from their nail polishes, so I was really looking forward to trying the latest collection pieces. With Kendall Jenner now the face of the brand, I think it’s definitely aiming to appeal to more of a younger market than it was before. Not only that they have opened a pop-up store in Boxpark in Shoreditch. The store has a funky vibe, with neon signs and a playlist by Zara Martin, all whilst you can enjoy 3 minute beauty services. The pop-up is open Monday-Sunday and will be open for three months, so definitely pop down for a look.
Now onto the collection, one of the latest releases is the Double Wear Makeup To Go Liquid Compact £33. This is the ever popular double wear foundation but has been reimagined into a compact, complete with mirror, sponge and push button so it doesn’t go all over the place. It comes in 18 shades and guarantees that 8-hour wear, slightly more hydrating than the original, with a tri-moisture complex of Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin and Muru Muru Butter for all day moisture.
I really loved this foundation, it gave fantastic coverage and I would definitely pop this in my bag for any touch ups throughout the day or for the evening if I didn’t get a chance to head back home. It has a natural and slightly luminous finish.
New Dimension Shape & Sculpt is the new range from Estée Lauder and is focusing on helping create the look of beautiful contours and a visibly more defined facial shape. The Shape & Fill Serum £62 defines the look of contours to help lift the look of cheeks and the jawline by improving both visible volume and structure, whereas the Shape + Sculpt Face Kit £34 is a cream contour set with a light shade and a darker shade to sculpt and contour the facial features. Also in the range is a sculpting eye kit and liquid tape that helps to firm and tone the eye area.
Back to make-up and the Youth Infusing Brightening Serum & Concealer £28.50 was really impressive, it comes with two ends, a stick concealer for fuller coverage more for blemishes and the wand end for under eye circles. This is a hydrating 2 in 1 product, that lasts all day, whilst liquid light optics brighten. Estée Lauder say, ’emitting translucent light without spotlighting flaws, and a color-correcting halo neutralizes uneven skintone and brightens shadowy areas’, definitely what I need in the morning. I have very dry under eye area and this didn’t dry them out at all, which I really liked.
Magic Smoky Powder Shadow Stick £18 and the Little Black Liner £22 are perfect for creating eye looks. The smoky shadow sticks are easy to use as an all over colour or as a liner, I really liked the gold/bronze as an under eye liner, but here I have put it all over the lid with a blend of the two. They have little specks of glitter which I just love. The Little Black Liner has two ends, one pointed for precision and the other a paddle which can create a thicker line, it is very black which I liked and lasted all day too. Great for creating perfect eyeliner flicks!
Lastly for lips there is the Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Potion £20 in Extreme Nude, this is more of a lip velvet than a gloss and goes on so smooth. I like this look as it’s sometimes easier to apply than lipstick on the go and it really stays on too. This is also really hydrating with Hyaluronic Acid, Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil and Sunflower Oil, so a great one to use now the colder months are here. The colour is a darker nude shade, but a good colour for autumn.
Pure Color Envy Matte Lipstick £25 I think is my favourite product I tried, it’s a matte lipstick and I was trying the colour Volatile, a bright red/orange seen in the pictures here. I haven’t actually stopped wearing this, I just love the shade and it lasts so well too, plus is moisturising so didn’t dry my lips out either. This is a close colour to the Kendall Jenner Limited Edition lipstick if you can’t get your hands on that one, then this is a great alternative.
I’m Wearing Doublewear Foundation in 2C3 Fresco | New Dimension Sculpt & Fill Serum | Youth Infusing Concealer & Serum in 1C Light (Cool) | Magic Smoky in 06 Scorched Gold & 03 Cool Ash | Little Black Liner | Pure Color Envy Matte 320 Volatile
Stand out products for me are definitely the Pure Color Matte Lipstick, the Shape & Fill Serum and the Doublewear Compact Foundation, but I have really enjoyed using them all. Have you tried any of Estée Lauder cosmetics before?
