Cosmo VO5 Street Style Judging Day

Today the final judging day came for the Cosmo VO5 Street Style competition. I headed down to JJ Locations Studio in Shoreditch for the exciting day ahead!

The day was simply amazing and I felt like a celebrity throughout. What with hair and make-up touch-ups, being photographed, videoed and attended to, I loved it.

First stop was make-up, the lovely girls did me some smoky eyes and a gorgeous orangey coral lipstick, which I will have to get my hands on.  I haven’t got one that shade and never thought it would suit me, but I loved it, matching my outfit choice perfectly.

After make-up I headed to hair, where I got to discuss what look I wanted to go for with the VO5 team, I opted for a sleek and glamorous look. I also learnt a great trick with the straighteners for curling and played about with all the products.

I got the chance to do my own ‘How To’ VO5 advert, just like the ones you have probably seen on TV. My video had me explaining how to do a glamorous slightly wavy and glossy Screen Siren look. The cameramen and VO5 team were so helpful and encouraging. I have always fancied myself as a bit of a presenter so it wa great to get such good feedback to help build my confidence. I can’t wait to see the finished result which will hopefully be on Youtube.

Throughout the day we had photos taken and a behind-the-scenes video was being shot, but the big shoot was with Ben Riggott, who has shot some amazing celebrities so I was a bit nervous, but he made me feel at ease and afterwards I got to see the pictures which I loved.

Final part was the interview, with Cosmopolitan Editor, Louise Court and V05 Brand Manager, Olivia Kirby. They asked about my style, inspirations and my hair, all while being filmed eek, but I managed to forget about the camera after a minute or so and try to answer them as best as I could. Meeting all the other stylish girls was great after all the tweeting shared beforehand, we all got to meet over lunch and some champagne as my group came to a close, then headed outside for a picture with the Cosmo Editor!
