If you are heading to London this weekend for London Fashion Week and looking for somewhere to stay then consider a Thistle Hotel, why I hear you ask? Well BT have teamed up with GuocoLeisure Group (GLH), who own 36 hotels including the Thistle Group, to offer a free, fast and unlimited Wi-fi service to all guests in hotels across the country. BT was the first supplier of public Wi-fi over 10 years ago, so they were the perfect choice for the partnership.
In London they have several hotels, including one in Holborn which is perfect if you are heading to Somerset House and with the free Wi-fi it’s the perfect way to upload all your fashion week photos, update your blog and stream the shows live that you didn’t quite get an invite to!
What’s great is that the Wi-Fi is just a ‘one-click’ service, there are no passwords or forms to fill in to sign up and you can access the net straight away. The partnership comes after a report by BDRC Continental found that hotel guests believe a good Wi-fi service is just as important as a good night’s sleep. I can’t agree more especially when travelling and also being a blogger it is so important for me to have net access, I really hope more hotels start running this idea out. When I was in Miami the hotel and so many places had free Wi-fi it was so much easier than having to pay data charges. Everyone nearly has a smart phone or an iPad, so it is so much more imperative to be able to connect when you are out and about, or sitting in a hotel by yourself with nothing to do.
