Alpha H Beauty Sleep Power Peel

August 15, 2016

When a beauty product produces instant results, it’s not only exciting for that reason but what excites me is the results it will produce over time. Normally I test out skin care products for at a least a good few weeks before writing about them, but sometimes once in awhile something comes along, a bit like the hydration boosters, that just blows you away. This time round that product is Alpha H Beauty Power Overnight Peel.

Now don’t be scared, peels are not scary. They are totally safe for home use and you will not end up like Samantha’s red face from Sex and the City. I must admit I was a little scared with this peel to use it, as it’s an overnight product so if my face did react to it, I’d be asleep, but I needn’t have worried at all. My skin is fairly sensitive and Alpha H’s peel was completely fine with it, I did experience a tingle, but that is totally normal and it shows the product is working its magic.

Alpha H Beauty Sleep Power Peel £49 as I said is an overnight product. Apply it to your face after cleansing and even after a serum and then don’t apply any night creams Lie back and in the morning wake up with baby soft skin. The peel does this by eliminating the dead skin cells as you sleep, his is done by the mixture of 14% glycolic acid and fruit enzymes. Once these are cleared the 0.5 % retinol will go deep into the skin and in turn stimulates the production of new cells and a firmer more resilient epidermis (the top layer of skin).

With the exfoliation and renewal phases complete, ingredients Chronodyn and Hydrano-P work on producing healthy skin cells keeping them energized and plump. Power Peel also has a blend of Neroli, Sandalwood and Rosemary essential oils to help relax the body and mind as you sleep.

When I applied it, it does tingle the skin, it feels like a slight pinch all over and depending on your own skin and how often you have used these types of products previous, you may find it a little uncomfortable. I have experienced similar products, but nothing to this effect, I think this time I felt it more as the glycolic acid percentage is so high. Although I’d say after about 15 minutes it died down and I couldn’t feel anything anymore.

I went to bed and in the morning I was so over the moon with the results, I couldn’t stop touching my skin, it felt so smooth and really like it had been repairing itself overnight. It is recommended to use this two evenings a week, but even one use a think would show a tremendous difference. Over time it can also reduce scarring, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne breakouts and wrinkles. I’ll definitely be adding this into my skincare routine.

Alpha H Beauty Sleep Peel is £54 and available now at Cult Beauty.
