Today I was treated to a lovely afternoon tea at the Cadogan Hotel near Knightsbridge. I absolutely love having afternoon tea, it is always so relaxing plus there is tea, cakes, sandwiches and champagne! What is not to like?
As a post Valentines present, Danny and I headed to the luxury boutique hotel this afternoon which was once the home of Lillie Langtry consort to King Edward VII and the scene of Oscar Wilde’s arrest for gross indecency. My little facts of the day, you’re welcome.
The surroundings at the Cadogan Hotel are so relaxing with some beautiful flowers and super comfy sofas and seats.
I opted for the Chelsea flower tea which was a blend of mango and apple to compliment my treats whilst Danny had simple breakfast tea, oh along with some bubbles. Everything comes out beautifully presented, we had an array of sandwiches which included roast beef and mustard, cheese and chutney, salmon, egg and cress and of course cucumber!
These were accompanied by some delicious scones with jam and clotted cream, Chelsea buns and the top layer of cakes which looked amazing. Getting through each layer of food looks easy but it is super filling! Cakes I can’t even remember what they were but there was chocolate mousse, an awesome decorated frangipane and a white chocolate and jelly filled slice.
I had such a lovely time and the food was beautiful, not to mention the very helpful waitress, oh and the music (you’ll see if you go)
Cheers everyone!
