Sexy Hair Product Review

I was sent a few products from Sexy Hair to try out, I have always heard good things about Sexy Hair so was looking forward to trying them out. They are one of these products I always see in Sally services and wonder what it’s like, well now I finally have the inside knowledge!

First up a little about my hair, its pretty thick and wavy but I always wear it straight, so I was looking for something to help with the straightness and also fight the frizz which comes from my hair being coloured and dried out from straightners. So I have been testing out two of the products from the ‘Straight Sexy Hair’ range over the last couple of weeks, the first was a Deep Conditioning Masque and the second was a Smooth and Seal spray.

I used the masque after shampooing my hair and left it on for about 3-5 minutes, once rinsing my hair it felt really soft and smooth, I was liking this already. After drying it felt really conditioned and is a good addition to my new shampoo and conditioner routine I’ve been trying out. If your hair is dried out from colouring or straightners this is a great product to try. The smooth and seal spray is for after styling, just spray it on the ‘frizz spots’ this is what I’m calling them, you all know where the hair tends to just go a little crazy? I sprayed it on my ends and at the top of the back of my head, I then blow dried to ‘seal’ the spray and put it to the test in the rain and it worked really well, my hair hadn’t frizzed, result!

I like my hair straight but with a little volume which I find hard to get when blow drying myself. I tested out the Powder Play, a volumizing and texturizing powder, which is sort of like talc, I guess is the best way to describe it. Although when you put it on your hands or hair it liquefies itself to create a full and voluminous effect. I lifted up my hair at the parting and dusted on some underneath near the roots at several points, I also applied a small amount on my hands and rubbed it through, my hair had instant volume. If you don’t like the feel of product on your hair don’t use too much as a little goes a long way.
