If there is one make-up launch you buy this season, make it Marc Jacobs Coconut Glow collection. The range inspired by Marc’s own love of coconut water, will leave you with the most beautiful glowing skin and the best part, it smells of coconut. If there was a product that could ever get you in the mood for a vacation it would be this. I’ve recently been trying out the collection and I absolutely love it, here are my thoughts.

O!mega Bronze Perfect Tan Bronzer & Bronzer Brush
O!mega Bronze Perfect Tan Bronze £33 is an original bronzer from Marc Jacobs beauty but for Spring it has been repackaged in this beautiful white limited edition compact and with a coconut scent. Tan-tastic is a matte bronzer that goes on really well and gives your face that instant boost of bronze. Haven’t been on holiday? This will be your go to for that bronzed look. I love the size of this bronzer, it’s so big and luxurious feeling, definitely one to show off in your make-up bag. To accompany the bronzer is the Limited Edition White Bronzer Brush £52, which is amazing. This brush is really large and albeit slightly heavy, but the bristles are so soft to touch, that it makes applying the bronzer an absolute treat.

Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter
I absolutely love Marc Jacobs glow stick highlighter so I was pretty hesitant about the Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter £32, as surely nothing could beat the glow stick? I was so wrong. I tried the dew drops first as a highlighter. I used this across my cheekbones applying with a beauty blender and the effect was just speechless. I loved the way it glistened but looked very natural at the same time, without swiping away any make-up underneath, which some other liquid highlighters can do. I also much prefer a liquid/gel highlighter to a powder one, as I sometimes feel they can look very fake.
This gives a natural but obvious look and what I mean by that is it is subtle but not too subtle that if your a fan of highlighter you wouldn’t be satisfied with the overall look. Trust me, I love my highlighter and this hits the spot. It really made my skin glow and having dehydrated skin my skin can sometimes look dull, so I am all about that faux glow. You only need a very small amount and the smell again is of coconut which I love.

Another way to use the dew drops is to mix it with foundation or as I did mix it with the Marc Jacobs Coconut Face Primer, which you know I already love and then I applied foundation on top. This gave my skin a lovely glow from underneath and I could even apply the dew drops to the cheekbones on top without it looking too much. It comes out quite sparkly on the hand but it’s so much more of a natural illuminator when it is applied to the face. It all depends on how much you use. I can see myself using this across the shoulders too with an off the shoulder top.

There is also a coconut setting mist in the collection which I had a spray of at the launch event and it is really lovely, a very fine mist, so I can’t wait to pick that up. Meanwhile check out my favourite setting sprays here.
Marc Jacobs Coconut Glow collection is available now from Harvey Nichols, Harrods and John Lewis.
