When Harrods ask you if you would like to review a hamper from their Christmas offering, it doesn’t really take me long to think about that. I absolutely love Harrods and hampers too, so to combine the two together, is a pretty nice Christmas combination.
I decided to try out ‘The Food Halls Collection’ hamper, this hamper is for those who just love their food. I picked this one as I really liked the selection included, I’m not one for Christmas puddings and very Christmas inspired foods so I really loved what was included in this. I also thought it was a really great gift for a couple, it includes a bottle of white and red wine, which Danny loves red and I love white, so it was perfect. When it arrived it came in the biggest trunk, not a wicker basket in sight. I loved this, it felt so luxurious and in turn worked out as a great storage box afterwards.
Inside is lots of treats for any food lover. The Food Hall Collection hamper includes; a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, a bottle of Claret, three boxes of teabags including English Breakfast, Earl Grey and Darjeeling, Seeded Water Crackers, Spicy Tomato & Date Chutney, Raspberry Jam, Marmalade, Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies, Salt Water Fudge and a Harrod’s corkscrew and bottle opener.
Being an afternoon tea lover, this hamper is full of things I love; the cookies were lovely, sad to say they are all gone and the salt water fudge, was really tasty too. Each of the teabag selections come in their own little individual packets and as you would expect each item is marked with the gold Harrod’s logo. The chutney is also a great pairing with the seeded water crackers.
It’s an ideal hamper to either eat from on Christmas Day, start off with a tea in the morning and a cookie, to an afternoon fudge snack and late night wine and crackers. Or just enjoy it piece by piece over time. I think this would be a really lovely gift for maybe a couple who love their food. Danny and I have certainly enjoyed it.
The Food Halls Collection hamper is £125 available from Harrods. They have a massive selection of hampers to choose from for every budget, from £50 to £10k, head to Harrods online to get yours now!
