GlamGlow ThirstyMud Review

July 18, 2014

When I was asked to review a product from Blow Ltd’s summer beauty range, there was one product that stood out to me and that was GlamGlow’s Thirsty Mud.I have been dying to get my hands on this since it’s release after using the original GlamGlow mud. The Thirsty Mud is slightly different to the original with the first mud being an exfoliatant. This one however is as it says on the tin, a mask for thirsty skin and is a treatment to provide extreme hydration.

When my package arrived it came in the cutest Blow Ltd box, my own special beauty takeaway! All wrapped up in tissue paper and presented really nicely.

I also love the GlamGlow packaging as when you open the box it gives you a smile when it says ‘HELLO SEXY’. Inside you get the 50g tub and details all about the product.

Tell me more?

So as I said the Thirsty Mud is a very hydrating product which is great for me as I love anything that will provide me with some moisturisation. It is said to provide extreme hydration for short, medium and long term results – brilliant!

So what’s in it? The science bit!

The Thirsty Mud includes TEAOXI technology which delivers natural Linoleic Acid, which is a moisturising fatty acid to maintain moisture. The real olive leaf is carefully ground and micronized for deep absorption into the skin. The leaf contains magical properties such as Hydroxytrysol to help hydrate, Oleuropein to help add moisture and Tyrosol to restore and repair. For short term hydration you have a group of powerful ingredients that include Orange Blossom, Coconut Oil and Ginger Root. To trap and retain moisture for medium term hydration you have the micro Hydraclay and ingredients like the Oat Beta Glucan and Natural Malic & Hydroxy Acids. Finally for long-term hydration the powerful blend of hydration liquid acids, Hyaluronic & Citric Acids give you real repair and hydration benefits.

How do I use it?

As this one is just a moisture mask, it is really easy to use. Just spread it across your face and let it sink in. You can either wipe away excess with a tissue after 15-20 minutes or just leave it to sink in. I didn’t have much excess left so just left it to sink in to my skin and it felt lovely.

Was it any good?

I absolutely loved this mask! I am such a fan of GlamGlow products but this really exceeded all my expectations. For me this product works wonders, as I mentioned in my facial post this week I’d been suffering from dry skin so it’s really benefited me on that front. It felt really nice on and has a nice texture to it, it’s very light not like a heavy moisturiser at all. Plus the smell is amazing, it smells like coconut. My skin felt very soft afterwards and dare I say it….glowing!

Just like the original GlamGlow Mud exfoliator, you get plenty in the tub to really last you! I’m still going with my exfoliator tub since Christmas so that’s a good 6 months or more and I still have plenty left. This one will be the same so it’s really worth the money.

GlamGlow Thirsty Mud is £49.99 available from Blow Ltd.
