Cocoa Brown Tan – The New Range

May 4, 2014

Cocoa Brown Tan instantly became one of my favourite tanning products, I loved it’s colour, ease to put on and how quick it develops – a tan within one hour! So when I was sent the new range to try I couldn’t wait to give them a go!

So what is in the new range for this summer?

First up we have the Gradual Tanner, which I was really excited about as I do use fake tan but I am much more prone to using a gradual tanner as I like how it moisturises as well as tans plus you can use it every day/other day. Sometimes I just can’t be bothered to take the time with a mitt and tan-I’m a lazy tanner. Anyways the gradual tan has a hint of moisturiser, which if you have used Cocoa Brown’s moisturiser it smells amazing, so I really liked the smell of this one. It comes out slightly tinted and you just cover yourself in it like you would moisturiser. It develops pretty quickly and it came out a really lovely natural colour. It suggests using it everyday but for me I would only need to use it every few days or so as it really lasted and I was happy with the initial colour. Gradual Tan retails for £5.99 which I think is a good price, it’s roughly the same as the Garnier, L’oreal etc.

Lovely Legs Spray £8.99 – This is a wash on/off spray for your legs, perfect for an impromptu night out when you need to tan up your legs. It is water-resistant so it won’t streak or wash off in the rain and can be washed off with warm soapy water. I tested out this product when my legs were really pale and I must say it didn’t look as good as I ‘d hoped, in fact slightly orange which I found strange as I do love Cocoa Brown products for their really natural colour. I think it’s definitely more one to apply over a light tan for an extra bit of colour. It definitely does stay on though as I found it quite difficult to get off!

Finally there is a new One Hour Dark Tan, this is the same as the original product just a shade darker. With me I had left the original product on overnight to get a really deep colour so was happy when I saw this had been brought out. It’s definitely dark enough to leave on for one hour and rinse. I was impressed with the colour, it suggests it’s one hour for a bronzed glow, 2 hours for chocolate and 3 for intense! I was too scared to leave it too long incase I went too dark, but was happy with the one hour result, it was a lovely deeper tan and I think I’ll definitely be using this over the original version now. The Dark One Hour is £6.99 which I think is an awesome price, the mousse can lasts pretty long and a you don’t end up using too much at all.
