Somerset House was filled today with fashionistas as London Fashion Week kick started off with surprisingly a lovely sunny day in London.
For me most of the action starts tomorrow when I will viewing a few presentations and also hopping backstage at Holly Fulton which I’m really excited about. So for today I took it easy and headed down to catch a ride on a special Tanqueray Gin rickshaw with fellow blogger Jac from Bumpkin Betty. The special rickshaws are free and are running all fashion week from 4pm – 10pm and will take you to the Aldwych One hotel where they are serving up some speciality London Fashion Week cocktails from Tanqueray. We managed to persuade us to give us a bit of a tour around Covent Garden!
I wore my blanket coat from Bershka which I picked up on holiday in Barcelona, ASOS skinny jeans and boots, Tom Ford sunglasses and my new Sophie Hulme bag which I am so in love with, I want to take it everywhere!
The cocktails for LFW are inspired by top fashion designers; Calvin Klein, Moschino, Alice Temperley and Chanel. We tried the four between us and they were so beautifully presented, if you love gin you will love these! The Moschino was titled LA Dolce Vita and was Tanqueray Gin, Martini Rosato, home-made berry and cranberry syrup juice, topped with champagne and served with a Sauvignon Blanc and mango mousse. It also came in a cat glass and you have to drink out the smaller spout a bit like a teapot.
The cocktails are going to be available from now until the end of Paris Fashion Week on the 2nd October priced at £13 each.
