I wanted to share my recent base combination with you. For a long time and I mean a long time, I haven’t used anything other than my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and as you all probably know by now, it is my holy grail of foundation. I’ve tried a few I quite liked, but nothing stuck and I am always delving back into my bottle of Armani on a daily basis.
Now with that foundation I dabbled in a few primers; Guerlain L’Or, Armani’s own hydrating primer, Marc Jacobs Coconut Primer and they all worked really beautiful with it. That aside, let’s fast forward until recently when I got a sample of the Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Base from Sephora when I was in Los Angeles. This primer left me loving it so much that when the sample ran out I just had to get a bottle. I never knew it was just so popular and it was sold out everywhere. However I finally got my hands on it and here we are.
I absolutely love this primer and it’s funny to even call it a primer, as you could even use it alone just to give your skin a dewy look, use it on top of base to highlight, mix with eyeshadow (which I am yet to try) or mix it with foundation.
I have the , this is slightly pinky in colour and goes on more clear than anything. There is also the shade Golden Radiance 02, which I believe has more of a golden tone to it. The base is super hydrating and gives my skin such a healthy glowing look even with foundation on top, that lasts the whole day.
I have had so many compliments wearing this and it just really gives your skin that glow if it’s lacking it. It’s not glittery in the slightest, so no need to worry about that. It’s quite similar to the MAC strobe cream, but I have tried both and in my opinion I feel the Burberry Fresh Glow is more outstanding.
Now what I love about the Burberry Fresh Glow is that it really makes any foundation look immaculate on my skin. Recently I have been combining it with the . At first when I tried this foundation on my hand, I thought it would be too matte for me. My skin is dehydrated, slightly dry so I really thought it would not be for me. I was so wrong. This foundation I think would work on all skin types, maybe expect from the very oily. It is matte but also has a slight luminosity to it, how that even works I’m not sure.
The coverage is just right for me, not too much, but not too little either and using it alongside the Burberry Fresh Glow has really given that perfect finish. I am totally hooked on this Burberry combination.
Have you tried either of these Burberry beauty products before?
