Yesterday I was really excited to have been invited to go backstage at the Holly Fulton show at Somerset House by Silk’n beauty. Silk’n were sponsoring the Holly Fulton show and if you haven’t heard of them they are one of the leaders in home beauty gadgets. The models were using some of the compact laser hair removals systems, which are just the easiest way to do laser hair removal at home and by yourself. Silk’n are also brining out something new this October which I can’t reveal just yet, but I will have all the details very soon for you as I have been testing it out myself!
As I knew I was going backstage I wanted to be more comfortable and casual so I opted for flat shoes and the weather was an odd one, pretty cloudy but warm, so I went for this bright red duster coat from Fashion Union, I’ve been after a duster coat for a while and as soon as I saw this bright red one, I knew it was the one! As the coat is so bright I decided just to pair it with all black and gold accessories, another excuse to use my new Sophie Hulme bag.

Backstage the models were all getting ready, the make-up was being done by MAC and I snapped some sneaky shots, trying not to get in the way. It was great to see them using my new foundation I’ve started wearing the MAC Mineralize. The hair was long ponytails sleeked back with a side parting. The precision was everything!
What do models drink? Beauty juice apparently!
I loved being able to get a first look at the clothes themselves before even the fashion editors. Each model had their looks lined up on the rails with their photograph, accessories and shoes hanging up with them. Holly’s collection had such detail with the flower embellishment on dresses and skirts and the accessories had a chunky and sixties feel. Even with the colours, the black and white monochrome signalled this too.
I also met the lovely Zoe from Zoe New Love and after a quick chat we were whisked away to watch the show as the models got their final preparations together for the first look.
I had such a fab time seeing backstage so thanks to Silk’n and Holly Fulton. Be sure to check my next post for all the shots from the runway and watch exclusive backstage footage below, can you spot Zoe and I?
