5 Happy Things In July

July 31, 2015

This month I thought I would start celebrating what makes me happy. I think sometimes we focus too much on the negative and not on the positive, I know I am guilty of this. So whether it be something I’ve been sent to review this month, the great pleasure that is food or maybe just someone being nice to me on the Underground. Here are the five things that have been making me happy in the month of July.

5 Happy Things Of July

1. Rome

This month Danny and I went to Rome for his birthday. It was such an amazing place and I really loved seeing all the history too, the Colosseum is just something you have to see in person for sure. If you are planning a visit, do check out my Rome travel guide on what to see, eat and do. I picked up this necklace in H&M in Rome, I’m sure the jewellery there was completely different but I haven’t been into H&M here for a while so I could be wrong. I love this necklace, it has quite an antique feel and I got quite a few compliments on it this month.

2. Sudio Earphones

This month I was sent a pair of earphones from Swedish brand Sudio. The Sudio Earphones are white in colour and I went for the style Klang which have a flat cable, which I found so unusual and also a gorgeous white leather pouch. They wrap around your head so it’s easy to use them if you are running, I took them to the gym and they were ideal for that.  The sound from them was really good and so I have been using them to listen to my music of choice this month, Years & Years album Communion. It’s a really chilled album and I would definitely recommend it. If you fancy a pair yourself they have given me a 15% off code, just type theldndiaries in the checkout, they also have free worldwide delivery! Interesting fact the name came from the Phil Collin’s song, Sussudio.

Unilever Products

3. All Things Hair

This month I went to meet Unilever for an exciting project. I am going to be working with them on videos for their All Things Hair channel, which I am so excited about as bloggers such as Zoella and Tanya Burr feature on the channel. We learnt lots about some of the products from brands like Vo5 and Toni & Guy, plus I got to meet some lovely bloggers who are also going to be taking part. We all had a great day and left with a bumper goodie bag. They also have a shop in the head office, probably the worst place you could leave a beauty blogger. Everything is heavily discounted and so I stocked up on lots more goodies, oops!

4. Bell Hypoallergenic Make-Up

I discovered Bell make-up this month and I am so glad I did. The brand is a leading beauty brand in Poland and I had never heard of it, so I was thrilled to see a whole Hypoallergenic collection.I have sensitive skin and especially on my eyes so anything like this is perfect. I have been trying the waterproof mascara and really liked it, as well as one of the lipsticks which had great staying power, pretty impressive. You can pick up Bell make-up in the UK on Beauty Crowd which is a new website I’ve discovered too. They sell make-up brands you can’t really get hold of here and everything ranges sort of under £10!

Scentered Focus Balm

5. Staying Focused

Aswell as a redesign of the blog, I’ve been making sure I have been planning my posts and other things I want to achieve. I feel by making lists it just clears my head so much more and I can actually sleep at night. I was also introduced to Scentered Balms, which have been helping gain focus for this. Your thinking how can a balm do this Paula!? Scentered balms use aromatherapy fragranced balms that when applied to your pressure points can help you really centre yourself. I tried out the Focus, a blend of rosemary, mind and clary sage, which when trying to concentrate I added to my wrist and slowly breathed it in and reset my mood. The smells are very similar to something you would get at a spa and just are amazing. I also tried the Love which is a mixture of rose, patchouli and cedarwood, which is said to be the next best thing to a hug! Scentered Balms are £14.50 available at Space NK.

Now remember folks…

Too fab for your negativity
