I’m heading off on some more travel adventures next week and I really cannot wait! Ever since I got back from Kefalonia I got the travel bug and had to book another trip away, this time Danny and I are off to Rome. It is my first time in Rome and Italy, so I am really excited. If you have any Rome tips, of course send them my way. You can follow my travels in real-time over on my Instagram.
With this in mind, I was after a travel bag that was big enough to fit my Nikon camera and pretty much everything else I either seem to take on a flight or lug about with me all day. That’s when this leather fringed shopper from Marks & Spencer came into play. It is the perfect travel bag for me, I love the style of it, it’s so easy to carry and the fringing is going to go so well with some of my outfits as brown suede just goes so easily with most things. It’s also nice and light, a lot of bags I have are so heavy before you even put anything in them!
In my new travel bag I will carrying of course the essentials but also this SOS kit from Emma Lomax. Her aeroplane travel kit comes with this cute bag and everything in it is designed to help you on your travels. Inside you have mini toothpaste, plasters, nail polish wipes, nail clippers, a tampax, sewing kit, comb, mirror, phone charger and the list really does go on. These kits are priced at £30 and she does some great ones for festivals and also for everyday handbags. I always forget something so this saves me the hassle. In my bag I also have my new Fendi sunglasses, I love the mirrored look for sunglasses and these are so different, I love the cateye feature.
I also have a new beauty essential in the form of Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate. This is a new product that isn’t out till September, but I attended the press launch last week so was lucky enough to get to try it out. This is like a day version of their amazing Midnight Concentrate and helps to keep your face from look fatigued by the end of the day. I’m definitely taking this with me as travelling always really tires me out. I will update with a full review in the coming weeks. Of course sunscreen is an essential item, I have Ultrasun for the face from Marks & Spencer beauty.
Alongside my main travel bag I have picked up these AWESOME bags from a company called Bag-all. I hadn’t heard of them before but found them whilst browsing Shopbop and thought it was the coolest idea. Each tote bag comes with a drawstring ribbon and carry handle and has a drawing on the front of what’s in it.
I ended up purchasing the travel set, which I think has sold out now and it has the ‘Wash Me’ bag, a must in my opinion, a mini ‘Private’ bag, one for shoes, underwear and also one with an eye mask which can be for anything really. I also picked up the hair dryer one as it always gets battered around in my suitcase so thought it really deserved its own bag!
